REVIEWS

Here are some reviews of my work.

1).  Review, Dark Autumn:

Now this could definitely be a movie! Dark Autumn is a fantastic action-packed futuristic thriller that had me riveted for days. The energy was kept very high throughout the book. Occasionally Clint Dunshee had his characters perform seemingly super-human tasks, similar to James Bond or Dirk Pitt. However, the reader is also shown their flaws and the strength of intimate friendships bonds that are so deep they are willing to risk their lives for them. The abilities of these characters are made more believable because of the incredibly difficult training scenarios the author guides the reader through.

The theme is set in the future when space travel and space science is a part of life. Earth is contacted from another planet when one of the science probes is picked up by alien humans. As it turns out Earth is only one of hundreds of planets with intelligent life, only some were human. Many planets in the universe helped bring Earth¹s technology up to par in exchange for the planet¹s rich agriculture and minerals. Most planets worked on a good trade relation in relative peace, but the trouble-making Marvonians were on the edge of acceptance. This planet took it upon themselves to steal from Earth and attack their ships within a few light years of Marvon.

The main characters of the book, Alan, Bill, Carrie, Julie and Angela are all highly intelligent youth that are singled out for highly trained positions. Despite their youth and inexperience, they were considered Earth¹s only chance to avoid a war with a technologically superior race. Bounty hunters and sabotage plays a part in a deadly scavenger hunt while plans are laid to rescue the hostages held by Marvonians. Earth has a chance to destroy their image of being a young planet and elevate into more sophisticated, honorable one that the other planets can respect and hold trade with more readily.

In order to do this, Earth must play the game carefully and honorably - at the same time the team must eliminate the dangerous problems with Marvon and free the Earthling prisoners before it is too late.

I believe this book deserves the highest ratings and I would recommend it to anyone, anytime, anywhere."

2).  Review, Dark Autumn:

In the not too distant future, Earth has joined the intergalactic community. An Alien bully of a planet illegally detains an innocent earth spaceship. To stop an interplanetary war, an Earth representative proposes an unusual plan. The fate of the ship and possibly the entire Earth is placed in the hands of a hotshot space crew. Can they put aside personal feelings and internal disagreements long enough to complete this vital mission?

Clint H. Dunshee has put together a quick paced SciFi action adventure of friendships, old and new set in the darkness of an outer space environment. As all those SciFi aficionados out there would say, “Hey, It could happen.” Give it a read.

5). Review, Dark Autumn:

Dark Autumn is a non-stop adventure that will challenge your mind

and tickle your imagination. Clint Dunshee follows the lives of four

close friends as they excel in their goals and become the best they

can be in their chosen fields. He has skillfully created a dark enemy

from a rival planet, Marvon, who continuously attempts to thwart any

attempts made by this talented foursome to save their planet, Earth.

I recommend this book to anyone that loves an adventure...you do

not have to be a Sci-Fi fan to enjoy this read!

1. Review, Storm Warning:

"Storm Warning" by Clint Dunshee will grab your attention from the very first sentence to the last. A novel of adventure and suspense, you won’t be able to put it down. At times the story is knuckle whitening, at times fun and playful. Mr. Dunshee's books are well worth picking up.

Mr. Jackson is a shrewd businessman, determined to make big profits from his diamond mine in the Congo. When foreman Larry Kuhns reports a dinosaur sighting, Jackson sends geologist and paleontologist Aimee Carlton to assess the danger. Jackson is evil and only interested in money. Mark Travis, a medical technician for the US Air Force, also spots a dinosaur. Then he is retired from the service two weeks early and advised not to talk. Senior Airman Lori Hines and Staff Sergeant Jim Winger are other medics on his team. They are also relieved of duties, but called into civilian service two months later to check out the situation for the female President of the United States. Mark puts together a crew of 80 to search the Congo for proof of dinosaurs. Thomas Doss joins the team in a plot to upset the mission and impeach the President so VP Haskins can take over.

Mark and Lori have sparred romantically for a long time. The romance is subtle, but enjoyable.

Dunshee spins an incredible tale, fun to read. Jim Winger’s character is still a mystery to me -- I have no idea why he inspired such loyalty from Mark or why Lori had not expressed her displeasure earlier. Lori is repeatedly described as mischievous, and perhaps a little passion would have spiced things up. But it was hard to put down this story of treason and allosauruses. I’d love to know what the ecologists and animal lovers do, following the violent and action-packed conclusion. Let’s hope Mr. Dunshee uses his wild imagination to fuel future novels!

Overall rating: 4 Hearts (out of 5)
Sensuality rating: Sweet
